Hi folks,

AIJAN just got a new review on Amazon that made all the stops and starts, twists and turns worthwhile.  In their review, the reviewer regurgitated exactly what I’d hoped to portray and the message I hoped the reader would receive.

Is there ever anything like the feeling of hitting a target dead on?  I don’t think so.

Good Morning People!

Project AIJAN is now officially submitted to the printer! I should be receiving my proof copy by next Tuesday or sooner and from there on the rest is just elementary.

I know by its very definition, the word surprise means that something unexpected happens, but as we both know, surprises can be good, bad, or indifferent.

By 10 a.m. today I’d had three surprises; and get this—they were all good, great even! That was in total opposition to my day yesterday. When:

• The phone wouldn’t stop ringing,
• Notes were making nests on my desk; and
• I didn’t leave the office until the cleaners came–and the song in my soul was, Nobody Knows the Trouble I’ve Seen

Today makes one year since I’ve been blogging.  I wonder.  Does that make me a blogging expert?  Do I get kudos for stick-to-itivness?

Even if it doesn’t I have much reason for celebration.  Since I’ve been blogging:

• my writing has improved
• I’ve written a blook (book based on a blog)
• I’ve written a song
• I’ve written a couple of poems, one of which was read on the radio and at an African Heritage Celebration in Vegas
• I’ve written several blogs (probably more than the law allows), websites and newsletters too.

I wasn’t sure if that was appropriate or where to make it, but I tried it anyway and to make sure you would find it, I put it on both our blogs…

Excuse me for a moment while I do the dance of joy! Okay, back now. I started doing this blogging thing in May 2005 and now this is post number 93 and I’m still going strong with the help of my fellow contributors and you the readers/commenters. Y’all have been wonderful, just wonderful, (in my best Academy Awards voice) and I want to thank God, my parents…

Seriously though, I was gonna wait until I hit the 100th post or a thousand visitors. Well the thousand visitor mark slid by me yesterday, when I wasn’t looking…I mean I took a couple of hours off, to do some work and then…what do you know? 1016! I had to return the streamers, ballons and hats because the moment was lost (it was like a guy taping a football game–to be addressed in another post).
